I have worked in Financial Services since 2014, following successful careers in the automotive and marine industries. I previously worked at Stockdale & Co but have always wanted to run my own business.
When the opportunity arose to start my own firm in 2023, I started work on building a client focused, technology led, Financial Planning firm, with the purpose of remaining truly Independent and delivering great client service.
Outside of work, I have a busy family life, with my Wife, 3 Sons and 2 dogs. I am also proud to volunteer as a Special Constable with Devon & Cornwall Police.
My background is in sales, management, and operations within the automotive industry. My last role was Group General Manager for one of the largest multi-franchise dealers in Devon & Cornwall. I have always had a keen interest in Financial Services and spent time as a Business Manager dealing with Credit Finance and Insurance.
I hold the Cert CII (MP) designation in Mortgage Advice. With more exams booked for this year, I look forward to adding to my qualifications.
I enjoy following Plymouth Argyle and my son’s football team, Penryn Grasshoppers. In my free time, I also like visiting the gym, playing golf, and engaging in other outdoor pursuits.
We are flexible in our approach, but as a guide, this is our normal advice process. Meetings are generally conducted in person, either at your home, or at our offices. Alternatively we can use video calling with screen sharing, or simply talk over the phone.
If you would like a friend or family member to be present during any step of the process, please let us know. Telephone and video calls may be recorded for compliance, training and record keeping purposes.
This first conversation will give us an opportunity to find out more about each other and ensure that we are a good fit. We will ask you briefly about your financial situation and what your objectives and aspirations are.
There is no charge for this call and the Discovery Meeting is also at our cost.
During this meeting we will ask you a lot of in-depth questions about your finances and life in general. This is an opportunity to build the foundations for a comprehensive financial plan and to identify your key requirements. We will also explain how we work, who regulates us and how we charge for our services.
If you then decide to engage our services, we will provide you with a personal client agreement to sign and return.
We will analyse the details from our meeting & prepare our personalised recommendations using specialist software and independent 'whole of market' research tools. Our written recommendations may be for 'advice only' solutions or result in a particular provider and product being recommended.
There may be the need to further discussions or meetings during this stage to clarify points or gather additional information.
Here we will explain our recommendations to you and demonstrate how they will meet your needs and objectives. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions as it's very important that you fully understand our recommendations.
This meeting can be in person or remotely, at your convenience.
Any agreed fees will become payable at this stage.
Once you have given us the authority to proceed, if our recommendation includes setting up a financial product, we will process any applications, arrange transfers etc and keep you informed as these progress.
Timescales for product applications and transfers can vary between providers, but we will use our experience and efficiencies to ensure these are completed in a timely manner.
Our ongoing review service will ensure your financial plan remains on track and that your investments remain suitable. All clients who opt for our ongoing service will receive at least an annual review meeting, and we are of course available between meetings should you have any queries.
